PS Waverley (1947) is the flagship of the PSPS fleet and the last seagoing passenger-carrying paddle steamer in the world. She was built on the Clyde in 1946 and sailed from Craigendoran on the Firth of Clyde to Arrochar on Loch Long until 1973. She was bought by the PSPS for the token sum of £1 in 1974.

Waverley 1975 – Very First Sailing in Preservation

On Thursday 22nd May 1975 Waverley sailed from Glasgow to Dunoon with invited guests aboard, many of whom had helped return her to service.

On 13 May 2021 Waverley exited dry dock at Greenock and returned to Pacific Quay, Glasgow after running trials down the Firth of Clyde.

Earlier this week Waverley Excursions reported that Waverley had left her winter berth in Glasgow to sail down river under her own power to Greenock for her annual dry docking.
