Waverley made her triumphant return to service in August 2020 following her boiler refit. However Waverley is now critically short of funds to survive this winter. Without further support she can’t return to service in 2021. We are therefore asking for your help by donating to Waverley’s COVID-19 Relief Appeal.

23rd September 1972 PSPS Charter to Inveraray

Waverley flying the PSPS flag from her main mast for the 1972 charter.

On Saturday 23rd September 1972 the PSPS chartered Waverley for a sailing from Gourock to Inveraray, calling at Wemyss Bay, Largs and Rothesay.

As can be seen above, Waverley’s appearance for that year was different. 1972 was the only season where she had buff funnels and black paddle boxes.
