Jeanie Deans 5th November 1965

A small contingent of crew from PS Princess Elizabeth from Weymouth flew up to Glasgow on 1st November 1965 to join Jeanie Deans for her voyage south to the Medway. First thing on 2nd we shifted ship from Lamonts jetty into their basin. On 3rd we ran trials on the Clyde. On 4th we took on bunkers at Greenock and on 5th we set off south although we initially only got as far as off Dunoon where we had to drop the anchor whilst the boiler feed pump was fixed.
